They make it look so easy, those superstars of direct sales, network marketing gurus smiling from their massive yacht or high end car in those slick ads posted all over the internet. It is often difficult to discern truth from fiction but there are real success stories out there. Granted, they are not overnight millionaires, just people who worked hard, believed and made it happen. Here are their secrets.Dont jump on just any bandwagon.Network marketing opportunities are a dime a dozen and many are only worth about that much. Dont jump on the first one that comes alone. Do your homework, research and thoroughly examine the system before signing on. Look at areas such as company stability as well as integrity, quality of product or service and, of course, the pay plan. Look at the support you will receive when you sign on and how much help and training you will receive.Do as they say and as they do.Take the training and follow the guidance of your leadership. BUT you need to also watch your leadership. What are they doing? Follow their lead but carefully observe their techniques and apply what you can to your own marketing strategies. Many of the most successful people in network marketing got there by mimicking what more successful network marketers were doing. Keep your eyes open and your ear to the ground and dont be afraid to ask questions.Dont orphan your downline.Take the time to teach and work with the people you bring in. Dont be so busy bringing in other people that you neglect the ones that are already there. Their success is your success, but more than that you have a responsibility to them, to help them succeed. Experts say you should plan to devote at least 30 days to work with them and help them come into the industry. Hold their hand, give them support and be there for them until they feel confident enough to go it alone. Even then, let yourself be available.Make full use of the technology at your disposal. The internet is an amazing tool that can stretch your marketing efforts and really beef up your results. Make full use of websites, email, autoresponders and smartphones. While the majority of network marketing opportunities are web based, many marketers who are just starting out do not make full use of the technological resources that are available to them. Dont fall into that trap, explore all of your options and use the ones that will best suit your purpose.Dont neglect the business side of business.Remember, network marketing is still a business. What you make is considered income. You need to report that income on your taxes. It may even be a good idea to hire an accountant. Every write off that you would have with a regular business, you will have with a network marketing business. It may even be a good idea to look into this before you even get started, explore how it will affect you tax wise. You want to run a clean business because you are not only reflecting your own name, but the company as well.Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
